Collaborative
mask drawing by students at South Richmond High School
Our Arts Workshops motivate and inspire
students by relating curriculum to the arts and their everyday
interests. Students learn about Brazil or the African Diaspora
through Capoeira, or about Spanish culture through Flamenco.
A study of the Renaissance, for example, may includes a
workshop on perspective, painting or drawing, and the science
of art. History is also studied through the staging of plays
or attending live theatre events. Please call to discuss
pricing.
Instructional trips to museums and other
cultural venues, from sports events to Broadway plays, relate
curriculum to enjoyable experiences and connect students
to New York City resources. The cost is dependent upon ticket
costs/admission fees.
