Cultural Events

The Cultural Events Program arranges attendance at theaters, concert halls and other cultural venues. This program includes:

Describe! enables theater-goers who are blind or visually impaired to enjoy theater while HAI audio-describers provide a live description of the performance
Tickets To Go a discounted ticket program for New York City residents 60 years and older sponsored by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
CSS Program

The CSS (Community Support Services) provides cultural enrichment for adults who have a history of mental illness or are mentally ill and are members of a mental health program

STEP (Student Ticket Enrichment Program) made possible by the Board of Education, provides New York City students tickets to cultural and sporting events.
Omni*Bus Program two uniquely designed transit vehicles, enabling people who are frail ambulatory, bed-confined, use wheelchairs, or have severe disabilities, to attend cultural events.
Special Events HAI's Community Performing Arts Series, produced and created by HAI, at accessible neighborhood locations.
Summer Program provides access to outdoor parks concerts and performances.
Volunteer Office coordinates the personnel for all HAI events
